WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
DEPRESSION, ANXIETY & PTSD
Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, feeling that the future is bleak and unchangeable or being unhappy with your work or home life, depression can take many forms and, in some cases, become completely debilitating.
Hypnotherapy is known to be one of the most effective treatments for depression. By tapping into the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy can identify and address the underlining issues that are the root cause of the depression and that the sufferer may be completely unaware. E.g., people can have regrets, resentments, anger, and guilt buried deep in their subconscious mind, and the techniques used in hypnotherapy, such as regression can take the person back to the ISE (initial sensitizing event) and not only desensitise the event, but also create a new empowering emotion. When this process is completed, clients can experience a complete lifting of the depression and resume living a full positive and happy life.
In the case of PTSD, whereby a specific event or sequence of events have triggered an emotional stress disorder, then sufferers can experience flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance and repetitive distressing images or sensations. Hypnotherapy can help to greatly reduce, and in some cases eliminate all the symptoms of PTSD, using several desensitisation techniques such EMDR, Regression and Aversion Therapy.
